ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION	MSc. / Assistant Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND	PhD with a background in Information Technology and Information Systems Management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics and Computer Science from the Universitat de les Illes Balears, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, as well as a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from the University of Tirana. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Tirana, focusing on the application of digital technologies and intelligent systems across various sectors.
POSITION	Throughout his professional career, Mr. Shurdhi has held positions in both public and private institutions, including the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Municipality of Tirana, and “AA Company Film.” He currently occupies several key roles at Barleti University and its research structures, including Director of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Center, ICT Expert at the Barleti Institute for Research and Development, and founder and head of the STEAM Fab Lab laboratory. In parallel, he serves as Manager of the Pearson Testing and Certification Center. In addition to these leadership roles, he is also a lecturer in several academic programs.
CONTRIBUTIONS	With over 10 years of academic experience, he has contributed to teaching at several higher education institutions, including the University of Tirana, “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University, and Beder University. His teaching portfolio covers a wide range of subjects in the field of Information Technology and Information Systems, such as server maintenance and administration, user interface design, basic and object-oriented programming, information technologies, electronic commerce, and information systems. Mr. Shurdhi is the author of several scientific articles, conference papers, and book chapters published in national and international journals and publications. His research activity focuses on digital transformation, immersive technologies (VR/AR), artificial intelligence, and information systems management in education and cultural heritage.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST	In addition to his academic activity, Mr. Shurdhi is actively involved as a project designer, coordinator, and manager, professional trainer, and mentor in national and international initiatives, contributing to the promotion of digital innovation and the strengthening of institutional capacities. He is currently engaged in active projects such as “Digital Transformation of ARPAD Partners Company” and “EIT Food Startup Awareness Event – Albania.” Among the completed projects in which he has contributed professionally are “Youth Education through the STEAM Model” and “Smart Tour on Cultural Routes.”
